101 Smokehouse
The owner of 101 Smokehouse is a longtime friend whose successful food truck grew into a restaurant in Kenton, Ohio. KRDesigns made a sign for that location. After a fire destroyed the Kenton restaurant, an opportunity to open in Marion brought a new call—and a chance to try something different.

A familiar design. Room to experiment.
For the Marion location, the brief was to make a sign similar to the Kenton original, with freedom to try something new. That trust led to KRDesigns’ first use of push-through acrylic. The flames, “101” and “Smokehouse” lettering all use this technique, adding dimension and an illuminated effect to the familiar design.
Four feet square, with depth built in.
The sign measures 4 feet by 4 feet, with a 12-inch-deep cabinet. Along with the sign build and its push-through acrylic details, KRDesigns handled all of the coating and installation for the Marion location.
